For Customers

Yes — completely free. You can browse providers, message them, review quotes, and book jobs without paying anything. skilld.pro charges only the provider a small fee when they accept your job. There are no hidden fees, no subscriptions, and no surprises on the customer side.

  1. You find a provider and send them a request through the platform.
  2. You and the provider message back and forth to discuss the job.
  3. The provider sends you a quote — price, scope, and a proposed date and time.
  4. You review the quote and agree when you're comfortable.
  5. The provider confirms the booking. You both get a summary with all the details.

Yes, you can cancel through the platform at any time before the job. Since the job fee is charged to the provider when they accept — not to you — there's no cancellation charge for customers. However, please cancel promptly and communicate with your provider if your plans change. Their time has value too. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for full details.

skilld.pro is a marketplace — we connect you with providers, but we don't manage or guarantee the work done. If a provider doesn't show or does unsatisfactory work, you can leave an honest review to warn other customers. For serious issues, you can use the block and report feature in the conversation. We encourage all customers to message providers, confirm details, and only agree to a booking when they feel comfortable. Reviews are the community's strongest tool here — use them.

No. skilld.pro does not verify licenses, certifications, or insurance, and does not conduct background checks on providers. Providers are responsible for holding any required credentials for the services they offer. We recommend you ask providers directly about their experience and credentials before booking — our messaging system makes it easy to do that before you commit.

We currently serve Tulare, Kings, Kern, and Fresno County in California's Central Valley. We're a local platform built by locals — and we're growing. If you don't see providers in your area yet, give us a little patience. New providers are joining every week. Contact us if you'd like to see us expand to your area.

Yes. After a completed job, the provider is automatically saved to your favorites. You can also access your job history and use the "Hire Again" link to start a new conversation with a provider you've worked with before.

For Providers

Joining is completely free. You only pay a small booking fee when you accept a job — $3 for personal services, $5 for home services, or $7 for trade services. The Pro plan ($35/month) eliminates all per-job fees. See full pricing.

Only when you click "Accept & Book" on a confirmed job. You're never charged for browsing, messaging, or declining a request. The fee applies only after both you and the customer have agreed on price, scope, and schedule.

Customers search by service category and location. Your profile appears based on your service area, category match, and profile completeness — not based on who pays the most. Everyone competes fairly on skilld.pro.

Yes. You negotiate pricing directly with each customer through the messaging system. skilld.pro never sets or controls what you charge for your work. The booking fee we charge is a platform fee — completely separate from what you invoice the customer.
