These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of skilld.pro, a platform operated by 2 one six 4, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use skilld.pro.
These Terms apply to all users — whether you are seeking services (a "Customer") or offering them (a "Provider").
1. About skilld.pro
skilld.pro is an online marketplace that connects Customers looking for local services with independent Providers who offer them. We are a technology platform only. We do not employ Providers, perform services, or supervise any work done through the Platform.
We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service arranged through the Platform. We are not responsible for the conduct of any Provider or Customer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use this Platform. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements. The Platform is intended for use within the United States.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
Do not share your account with others or use someone else's account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away at [email protected] or any support form on skilld.pro.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that contain false or misleading information.
4. Provider Status — Independent Contractors
Providers on skilld.pro are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or partners of skilld.pro or 2 one six 4, LLC. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship.
Providers are solely responsible for:
- Setting their own rates and availability
- Determining how and when they perform their services
- Providing their own tools and equipment
- Complying with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and professional regulations
skilld.pro does not direct, supervise, or control how Providers perform their work.
5. No Vetting or Background Checks
skilld.pro does not screen, verify, or background-check Providers. We do not confirm licenses, certifications, or insurance coverage. We do not run criminal background checks.
Customers are responsible for independently verifying any Provider's credentials before hiring them. We strongly encourage Customers to ask for proof of licensing (when desired) and insurance before any work begins.
Providers are identified and evaluated by the community through our public ratings and review system.
Exception — Account Review: While we do not proactively vet users, we reserve the right to review any account if a complaint is received that raises concerns about its authenticity or legitimacy. This review may include verifying that the account represents a real person or business. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from such a review, and we are under no obligation to share its findings. Accounts found to be fraudulent or misrepresenting their identity may be suspended or permanently removed from the Platform.
6. Prohibited Conduct
To keep skilld.pro a safe and fair community, you agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users in any way
- Arrange or complete transactions off-platform to avoid booking fees ("fee circumvention") — this is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination
- Submit fake, incentivized, or manipulated reviews
- Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation
- Upload malicious code or interfere with Platform operations
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the Platform
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Offer or solicit any service that is illegal, adult in nature, or otherwise outside the intended use of the Platform
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards.
7. Fees and Payment
Joining skilld.pro is free for everyone. Providers pay a small per-job booking fee only when they choose to accept a job. If you decline, or if a Customer decides not to move forward, you pay nothing.
Fee amounts are described on our Pricing page and are subject to change with reasonable advance notice.
Booking fees are charged at the moment a Provider clicks "Accept" or chooses the Pro subscription plan and are non-refundable except as described in Section 8 below. Fees cover the confirmed connection between Provider and Customer, not the successful completion of work.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By using the Platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
If a Customer cancels a confirmed booking through the Platform before the scheduled start time, the Provider's booking fee will be automatically refunded — no questions asked.
Refunds are not available for last-minute cancellations or cancellations arranged outside the Platform. To stay protected, keep all scheduling and communication within skilld.pro.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that show signs of abuse to the Cancellation and Refund policy.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method within a few business days based on Stripe's terms of service.

9. Reviews
Reviews may only be submitted by Customers who have completed a verified booking through the Platform. Reviews represent individual user opinions and not the views of skilld.pro.
We do not allow paid, fake, or incentivized reviews. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms, contain profanity, or are submitted in bad faith. We do not edit review content.
10. Platform Communications
skilld.pro may review any messages or interactions conducted through the Platform for any reason, including for purposes of safety, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and compliance with these Terms. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to this.
We do not sell user data to third parties for any reason. For full details on how we handle your information, please review our Privacy Policy.
11. Disputes Between Users
skilld.pro is not a party to any agreement between Customers and Providers. If a dispute arises, the users involved are responsible for resolving it directly. We may, at our sole discretion, attempt to help facilitate a resolution, but we are under no obligation to do so and will not be liable for any outcome.
To report a dispute or safety concern, contact us at [email protected] or any support form on skilld.pro. We take community concerns seriously and will review all reports.
If you believe you are in immediate danger or are experiencing an emergency, do not contact us — call 911 or your local emergency services right away. skilld.pro is not an emergency response service and cannot provide real-time assistance in urgent situations.
12. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fee circumvention or fraudulent activity
- Abusive behavior toward other users
- Submission of false or misleading information
- Any conduct we determine to be harmful to the Platform or its community
You may close your account at any time by contacting [email protected] or any support form on skilld.pro. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to the date of termination.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
skilld.pro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
We make no guarantee that a Customer will find a Provider, that a Provider will receive work, or that any service arranged through the Platform will meet any particular standard of quality.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, skilld.pro and 2 one six 4, LLC — including its officers, directors, and agents — shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, services performed by any Provider, or the conduct of any user.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless skilld.pro, 2 one six 4, LLC, and their affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any services you provide or receive; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.
16. Dispute Resolution
We hope to resolve any concerns informally first — please reach out to us at [email protected] or through any support form on skilld.pro before pursuing formal action.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to prevent irreparable harm.
Class Action Waiver: You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action or representative proceeding. All disputes must be brought in your individual capacity only.
If the arbitration clause is found unenforceable, disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tulare County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration provision in Section 16.
18. SMS Notifications
By providing your phone number, you agree to receive transactional SMS notifications related to your account activity — such as new messages, booking confirmations, and job updates. These are service notifications, not marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply. Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties.
Opt-In
You opt in to receive SMS notifications by providing your phone number during account registration or in your profile settings. By saving your phone number, you consent to receive transactional text messages from skilld.pro at that number.
Opt-Out / How to Cancel
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text message from us. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
- Removing your phone number from your profile settings at skilld.pro/Account/MyProfile.
Help

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your platform activity. We limit notifications to avoid sending redundant messages when you are actively using the platform.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. skilld.pro does not charge for SMS notifications, but your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
Supported Carriers
Messages are supported by most major US carriers. Carrier support and message delivery are not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
19. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including the skilld.pro name, logo, design, text, and software — is owned by 2 one six 4, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
By submitting content to the Platform (including reviews, messages, and profile information), you grant skilld.pro a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and display that content in connection with operating the Platform.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
