Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on skilld.pro. Please read it carefully before booking. By using the Platform, you agree to this policy.
1. How Booking Fees Work
skilld.pro charges service providers a one-time booking fee when they accept a job. This fee covers the cost of the confirmed match between provider and customer — not the completed work. The booking fee is charged at the moment of acceptance, after both parties have communicated, agreed on scope and price, and scheduled the job.
Customers do not pay skilld.pro directly. The customer's agreement is with the provider for the service itself.
2. Provider Booking Fee — Non-Refundable
Booking fees paid by providers are non-refundable in most circumstances. The fee is earned by skilld.pro at the time of acceptance because the Platform has fulfilled its role of connecting provider and customer.
This applies even if:
- The customer later cancels the job
- The customer is unresponsive after booking
- The job scope changes after acceptance
- The provider is unable to complete the job due to customer fault
3. Exception — Provider-Initiated Cancellation
If a provider cancels a confirmed booking before any work begins, we will review the circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Refunds for provider-initiated cancellations are at the sole discretion of skilld.pro and are not guaranteed.
Providers who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
4. Customer Cancellations
Customers who cancel a booking after a provider has accepted:
- The provider's booking fee is not refunded — the provider already paid for the confirmed match
- Any payment made directly to the provider for labor or materials is governed by whatever agreement the customer and provider reached — skilld.pro is not a party to that agreement
- Customers who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings may have their accounts reviewed
We encourage customers to communicate directly with their provider to reschedule rather than cancel whenever possible.
5. Pro Subscription Refunds
Pro subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you cancel your Pro subscription, you retain Pro features until the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.

6. Founding Provider Trial
Providers who joined under a promotional free trial period are not charged during their trial. At the end of the trial, if no payment method has been added, the account reverts to the free plan — no charge is made and no refund is applicable.
7. Disputed Charges
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. Include your account email and a description of the issue. We will review and respond within 5 business days.
Initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
8. Disputes About Work Quality
skilld.pro is not responsible for disputes about the quality of services performed. If a provider did not perform services as agreed, the customer's remedy is against the provider directly. We encourage both parties to communicate and resolve disputes directly.

9. How to Request a Review
To request a fee review or dispute a charge:

- Include: the date of the charge, the job involved, and a brief explanation
We respond to all requests within 5 business days. Decisions are final unless we determine an error was made on our part.
